Welcome to Chabad at UVA

Chabad at UVA is a Jewish home on campus, offering students a place to connect, engage, and feel supported.

We operate from two primary locations:

Chabad on the Corner, located next to Grit Coffee, serves as a weekday space for students to stop in, spend time, and connect. It is open for informal conversation, studying, and occasional programming, with refreshments available throughout the day.

Chabad on Alderman, located a short walk from the first-year residence halls, serves as the center for Shabbat meals and larger gatherings. Weekly Shabbat dinners, holiday events, and community programming take place in a welcoming, home-based environment.

Chabad is open to all Jewish students, regardless of background or level of observance. Students are welcome to participate in whatever way is meaningful to them, with no expectations or requirements.

To stay informed about upcoming events, students may join the text list by messaging 434-322-7377 or sign up for email updates. Additional updates are shared through Instagram at @Jewvamama and @chaabdofuva

Students are encouraged to reach out with any questions or needs. Support, guidance, and a welcoming environment are always available.
