Young Professionals and Graduate Students at Chabad

Charlottesville may be a college town, but it is also home to a growing and vibrant community of young Jewish professionals and graduate students. Chabad at UVA is here for you.

Whether you are in grad school, starting your career, or building a life in the area, Rabbi Shlomo and Channa Mayer are here to create a space just for you. It is warm, thoughtful, low pressure, and focused on real connection.

Through Shabbat dinners, holiday events, learning opportunities, and small discussion circles, we are building a welcoming community of people in their 20s and 30s who are looking for something real. Jewish experiences that are relevant, uplifting, and rooted in tradition.

Shabbat dinners for young professionals and graduate students will be held separately from undergraduate programming and are designed specifically for those in their 20s and 30s, creating a more comfortable and relevant space.

No matter your background, beliefs, or level of observance, you will find your place here. Whether you are looking to grow spiritually, meet other Jewish young adults, or just unwind over good food and meaningful conversation.
